Dale, there have been a number of serious polls on guns, but mostly on very specific issues. The last one I recall was a couple years ago having to do with the expiration of the so-called "assault weapons ban." I can find a number of smaller and more ideologic polls, but those would be castigated here. As you said earlier, this is an issue that is more visceral than logical. (I was going to say, "especially among the antis," but that wouldn't be true. <GGG>). But, if I do happen upon some polling data on the issue that I think might be accepted here, I'll be happy to post it.
