Ted, First of all, conservatives traditionally have been unwilling to endorse new ideas. They tend to stick with what's worked in the past.

By definition, conservatives are slow to adopt new ideas, but lately, liberals have been suffering the same problem.

As for political correctness, surprise, surprise........ it comes from the "free market of ideas".

A while ago, you were demanding that Rush and Coulter should be censored. That's not the "free market of ideas."

Only recently have you suggested that they should be allowed to talk so that the public can decide for themselves. Now that's progress, IMO ... ;-)
