I'm neither racist nor populist. Even if I actually had views like "we should shut down the border", or "kick out all the illegals" it wouldn't be solid evidence that I was a racist or a populist. You jump to conclusions about my views, and then you twist those imagined views in to racism.

On top of that even the actual racists are mostly not calling for a war with Mexico. Even if we fully militarized the border, and tried to kick out all illegals (again something only a small minority would support), it would be very unlikely to lead to war with Mexico. There almost no sentiment for war in either country.

I think you're a bit more incensed than the situation calls for, Cyber. In fact, Americans are amoung the least racist and most tolerant peoples in the world. We may not meet your standards (whatever that might imply), but in the global grand scheme of things, we do pretty well.

There's a difference between not wanting to pay for huge masses of economic refugees and not wanting them for racial reasons.
