The ethnic mix is growing in the UK and the Netherlands, and Mauritius is very divided among different groups, like South Africa (which has lots of guns and crime but it's a rich-poor thing not ethnic).

The only correlation I have seen is that countries that never had a lot of guns and don't provide easy access, end up with less gun crime. That's not to say no gun crime, but much much less than otherwise.

Since the US has such a huge black market in drugs it's not hard to see that the gun trade among bad guys will continue no matter what we do.
