<If intelligent evolution is bound by the relationship of the separate intelligent entities (Selector/Selectee) then what is intelligent evolution's function, and how does it function? >

I don't know, isn't that the age old question? Take humans, what is their "purpose"? Survival? Of course if we could see a clear intelligent "plan" then that would give us something to grab onto or argue about. However, lack of such doesn't "preclude" intelligence surely. We agree humans are intelligent with no definition of our 'purpose', right?

<If it is transcendental, then you are suggesting an umbrella of super-ordinate intelligence that is pervasive in both selector and selectee without necessarily emerging wholly from one or the other, while being wholly involved with each, right?>

I'm assuming immanent intelligence re. living things?

<In order to reconcile the discrepancy in views, you must demonstrate how selector intelligence and selectee intelligence translate to intelligent evolution, and how that aligns the view points.>

I'm not sure I understand what you mean... if selectors and selectees are intelligent and use that intelligence to survive....? If the 'survival of the fittest' process is intelligent? Or perhaps we just don't know?

How about this: Would the discovery that all life is intelligent, change one iota an assertion that evolution of life is unintelligent vs past beliefs that only humans were intelligent?

Let's take the football game (system) anology, although it's clear (is it not?) that the players can only play football. If the players are intelligent, is the process of a football game not intelligent??? Would it be intelligent even with no "goal" other than to survive to the next "round"?
