Between 1983 and 1996, 18,006 American military personnel died accidentally in the service of their country. That death rate of 1,286 per year exceeds the rate of combat deaths in Iraq by a ratio of nearly two to one.

I didn't know that.
Who knew war costs fewer lives than peace?

So besides the 2500 dead in Iraq, and the dead in Afghanistan, 10's of thousands of soldiers maimed for life, we also lost about 1,286 to accidental death each year as well.

Thanks for the reminder.

Between 1983 and 1996, 18,006 American military personnel died accidentally in the service of their country. Where is the outrage? That death rate of 1,286 per year exceeds the rate of combat deaths in Iraq by a ratio of nearly two to one.

So? Are you saying that it will be OK with you if another 2500 US soldiers get killed in Iraq? Well, if you regressives have your way, that "dream" of yours will come true as well! :-((

But you can be sure of one thing - none of those 2500 will come from the families of Dumbya, Cheney, DeLay, Frist, Rove, Wolfowitz, Perle, Limbaugh, Hannity and other regressive chickenhawks. Nor will they come from the Ann Coulter flyer distributing chickenhawk, regressive, College Republicans.
