Hey, I have had an HP OfficeJet combo for six years that is still working like new. Depends, I guess

My HP All-in-One is a piece o crap. I think it depends on the model. And HPs printer support really is terrible.

I don't think the HP all-in-ones are good for heavy duty use, just home use. I know a lawyer who tries to use one in his law office and it is execrable.

I've had two HP Laserjet 4000s that churn out 27 pages per minute for almost ten years (not every minute every day, maybe 200 or 300 pages per day between them) and they're still going strong. Cost over $1000 each new at the time.

And a dinky little HP Laserjet 3200 I use for a fax machine that has to be unplugged and rebooted from time to time, and has had two firmware upgrades, but it works OK most of the time, and can also work as a scanner, for real.

Hydras are famously unreliable for heavy duty use.
