"I fear we are swinging toward that depravity right now." Maybe we can get it going the other way before it is too late. I met a very interesting Native America yesterday (are you a Native American?), and he had some profound thoughts on this topic. We are loosing our moral compass, and he fears for the future of our country. My wife gets mad when I talk politics with people I don't know too well, but I had to ask his thoughts on America and Americans from a Native American perspective. Lead to quite an interesting conversation, and I learned a little of his philosophy. A very interesting prayer (if that's the right word) that involves 7 generations. Had a perspective of 7 generations before you and the 7 that will follow. Drives home the responsibility you have towards those that brought you life, and your responsibility to those you will bring into this world. I don't fully understand the implications, but fascinated by the idea. Hope to have more time with this fellow in the future. I could learn a lot from him.
