"They are good Americans." Yes, they are. "I don't know where you live" I live in northern ca, about 200 miles north of sf. Wintu Indian lived in the area (and still do). We are actually going to build on property that we own that was purchased from the Wintu's, so I have an interest in the history. I should check out the pow wows. I have not met too many native Americans, and never met one that I did not like. But I will say one thing that has bothered me that I have read about locally is the politics of the casino money. Many members (about 1/4 of them) have been kicked out of the tribe for what appears to be greed of the other members. I guess that money can corrupt any people, but the details of the local situation are appalling.
