No doubt, but if you think I am the only one, you're quite wrong. I think it's bizarre that you're getting hot and bothered about some old rusty shells.

I venture to estimate that this issue, like so many others, has been extremely politicized because conservative Republicans have finally woken up to the fact that, not only are Republicans in danger of losing control of Congress, but they won't like it if that actually happens.

Whoops! Guess Congress matters, after all. I put it like that because I was trying to drum up some interest in the midterm elections a few months ago and was soundly rebuked for suggesting that y'all aren't going to like losing control of the government if that happens. IIRC the reaction was "throw the bastards out!" Whoops.

This is a desperation move by Santorum. If you don't recall the arguments about these old rusty shells back circa 2004, I can't help that. It's old news.

No doubt there's a brilliant strategy to save the GOP, just waiting in the wings.
