Which all strengthens their hand in the Middle East and makes them a MUCH more powerfull fundamentalist voice in Middle Eastern affairs.

I doubt we're going to subsidize their terrorist activities.

Building them a nuclear reactor leaves them dependent upon external powers for nuclear fuel, and under foreign scrutiny that will hobble their ability to weaponize nuke technology.

As for trade, that will depend upon their overall attitude (as a regime), I guess. There's nothing to say that additional sanctions can't be imposed should they prove intransigent towards terrorist activities.

But I personally believe that Ahmadinejad wants a nuke and thus, he really can't "make a deal" without seriously hampering that agenda (and his political power).
