Are you putting words in my mouth? :P From what I saw he has a news component to his predictions - like he said he thinks he is already ahead of the big boys. A good algorithm on a small pc can beat a poor algorithm on a more powerful one - is john henry that much better than the teams of people against him? Here was a recent slashdot article on free online university education MOO - they have algorithm courses too - now why am I gonna pay YOU to get educated on your time schedule when I can do it at my time schedule for FREE? You are trying to get me to suspend my experience and believe it would have been possible for one lone john henry to make a rocket to go to the moon and not the resources of entire nations - it just doesn't work that way in the real world.
