I'm hopeful that maybe the latest 3 outrages from the NYT FINALLY dents the brains of some on the left. I do think the tide may be turning, at least some of the left leaning folks may be thinking what will happen to them personally, and to our country, if some of the lightweights from their party get into power.

Bush may not have done everything we might wish, but I can NOT imagine another Jimmy Carter, or FDR, or anyone like them in office. We need another Truman...little banty rooster, but he knew who he was and what to do. So did the bad guys know ... they knew exactly where they stood....and where he stood.

Hey, everybody! MUST READ!!!!

The leaking of confidential information, the SC ruling today, the say anything anti-Bush and anti-conservative attacks and generally all of the things I think are reducing my family's security.

Nekka305, this is not addressed to you. I am just taking advantage of your post to get this off my chest.

There is a lot to think about. And I want to comment on the fact that we are in danger here of falling into the "Bircher" trap. I posted about the problem here: Message 22581354 two days ago.

The John Birch society look at the communists and figured anybody who agreed with any viewpoint they had was part of a conspiracy and demonized them along with the Soviets. We are in danger here of committing the same fallacy. The people who are on the other side of the issues we believe in here are not "bad" people. We should be careful we don't demonize them and think they all "hate" America just because they don't agree with us.

I am guilty of "inciting to riot" here. I constantly post the worst I read about our opposition. It frustrates me, and gets to all of you. But don't let it take you "overboard" into an emotional reaction that goes beyond the real world.

Thanks , Bill
