Nice idea. But if Congress were insured by an HMO they would legislate that it had to include everything, and then they would stick you and me with the bill. Then they would deplore that everyone didn't have that good of coverage.

Health care and energy costs have doubled under Bush-Cheney.

Now go back to 2001 and look whose lobbyists were pouring the most money into the GOP. Yep, Big Oil and HMO's/Pharmas.

They sold us out, didn't they? For cheap too.
