You are jumping way ahead to draw conclusions, that have not been supported. People often do that rather than process the argument from where it is, usually out of fear. Why not just deal with the argument at hand.

He talks as though people "discover" ideas as they discover a cabin past a bend in the road. I get the impression that he believes that ideas have always existed as discrete entities and are simply "discovered" from generation to generation.
