There was nothing wrong with telling the public that the White House is looking into bank records without warrants. It does not help terrorists. It defends our civil liberties and warns us again that Bush-cheney are abusing their powers in illegal ways.

Any terrorist sympathizer with a brain would know their bank accounts may be being monitored. After 9-11, it was well-publicized by the White House that they were going after Al Qaida funding and being very aggressive about it. The FISA court would immediately give warrants for any legit investigations into suspect bank accounts. SO terrorists were already wise to that sort of investigation. And all such investigations. Anyone who saw "Clear And Present Danger" also saw how the NSA can suck voices out of the air and match keywords. So is Tom Clancy a "traitor" too?

The real issue here, which the rightwing desperately tries to distract us from, is that Bush-Cheney and their people are acting illegally, without warrants, without congressional oversight, and could be abusing their powers in such gross ways that it undermines our very democracy. The poll Fox took about this matter also neglected to include that bigger issue. Nor its ramifications.
