Peter, Helping to lower financial problems of America, can begin with a thorough house cleaning. There are government employees that sit around all day doing nothing because the reason they were hired is not longer valid, but nobody gets rid of them. Congress men, and Senators, must be stopped from pork barrel politics which drain the coffers to build government associated things in a certain state to help that politician to stay in office. Term limits would be a good way to solve some of that. Government contracts with suppliers are out of control and billions of dollars are being put in the pockets of the officers of those companies.

Military contractors are the worst. Why does a toilet in a C-140 cost $12,000 dollars? Why does a monkey wrench cost the military $8,000 dollars? Why in a million years would each F-14 be equipped with an ashtray that costs over $1,000 when no one would think of smoking in one? And that is just the tip of the iceberg of that kind of corruption.

Next is the fraud, graft, and just plain stealing by the medical field from Social Security and Medicare. Probably trillions are being stolen by all of the many facets of that field.

Then, we should discontinue all foreign aid to nations that are not it total agreement with everything we do. Why should we pay money to nations that hate our guts?

Why should the citizens of America pay for such things instead of the money being used for the sensible needs of those citizens? And, I stress the word "sensible".
