The last five years should be a damning indictment of this 51% "mandate" BS. Any presidential candidate who doesn't aim for a 58-60% win and comfortable majorities in both houses of Congress is just headed down the same stale road.

Of course, we can always hope that the next president will actually veto legislation he/she doesn't like and that's bad for the country. That would be a nice start.
