LOL, I put up that caveat for the folks here who get touchy about that kind of thing. I don't think that scrutinizing and bashing any individual politicians is partisan unless you are doing it just because Bush is Republican or conservative. Any politician who gets up on a soapbox and claims to be a great, virtuous leader deserves every attempt we can make to tear through the rhetoric and find out if the reality matches the BS promises.

I think it's our bipartisan duty to plow through the clouds of crap and figure out what is really going on. In this case, the administration changed tone on an alleged offense which didn't amount to anything in terms of operational disclosures, purely to compensate for other political embarrassments they were suffering at the time.

Bush and Cheney are minority politicians who represent a vocal but shrinking ideological clique. That clique had a chance to wield power and build a lasting majority and they failed. Now we get a lot of defensive lashing out and blaming others.

A very familiar pattern in Washington. Maybe we should scrap second terms altogether. They are always a mess.

Somebody's taken leave of their senses. I don't think it's George and Laura, either.

Are you of the party that argues George handed his legacy over the Cheney, Addington, and Rumsfeld and can't get it back?
