Jefferson and the 25 or so rightwing congressmen who are also corrupt bastards all need to go to jail. Bob Ney is about to get his this week. Delay is prison-bound. Abramoff, Jerry Lewis, Doolittle, Pombo, Hastert, Barton, the Cunningham gang (and did you know Cunningham was secretly gay like many top Bushies?), Libby, then Rove, Cheney, Norquist, Reed, Blackwell, Ketherine Harris, Santorum, Frist on and on. All crooked. Jefferson is too, but he was a lone wolf and did not do what he did in connection with any other democrats. He was more like Bush's White House shoplifter, his domestic policy advisor who ripped off Target stores many times and finally got arrested.

Democrats have a history of covering for each other. Just look at the House Ethics Committee action on Jim McDermott who lost a civil case because he violated federal laws and House ethics rules. Democrats have blocked action against him for years. Look at the protection of Cinthia McKinney after her physical assault of a police officer. Look at Patrick Kennedy the DUI driver. Look at Hillary's illegal campaign contributions. Look at Harry Reid stearing federal land sales to companies that pay his son a "consulting" "fee" (bribe?). Their protection of each other appears to be because they are all unethical. They have the culture of corruption down; democrats turned corruption into a science.
