Yup, no Intel supporter here, but it would take some massive cajones for another chipmaker to try and take them on.

As for Wibro/Wimax, QUALCOMM will receive in royalties the equivalent of what it contributed in technology - nothing.

In all wireless OFDM standards (Wimedia, Wifi, Wimax, ETSI Hiperman, Wibro, etc.), QUALCOMM will be a payer of royalties since it holds only a small minority of relevant/essential IP.

Of course, that raises a lot of questions about the Flarion acquisition....
