there is some kind of loop hole in pa law that they can sell any type of fireworks to outside the state residents. pa residents cannot even get into the store, security checks, at the entrance, for n.j. drivers license. we cannot buy these explosives but folks coming in from new jersey are loading up their cars.

pf course new jersey is furious but unable to stop it.

They’re even seizing cars now, at least 30 so far

Is this what was intended when they passed asset forfeiture laws? That's not how I remember it. The law was supposed to target 'drug kingpins.'

Thats why I would have no desire to live in the liberal north. Last night my wife and I went to a friends home, we go every 4th of July. These people have A HUGE yard backed by a canal, great place for fireworks. All their friends kick in and buy something like $10,000 worth of fireworks and they put on a display similar to that many small towns create. They have built tables and the like to mount the stuff on and several safety precautions. In the 5 years we have been going I have never seen even ONE incident of injury. Most of the stuff is TECHNICALLY illegal as hell, but here in Fla. the laws are rarely enforced on the 4th.
To impound peoples cars for minor stuff like that article mentioned is AWFUL IMHO. jdn
