NK has no longrange missiles and SDI doesn't work. Two facts the Bushies won't tell us. Why? Because Bushie defense contractor cronies are making a huge bundle off SDI, and North Korea is the only justification for it. If they had LR mkssiles capable of reaching us, which of course they don't. Not even close. They'd be lucky to even reach Japan.

Peter, I don't know about the left, but I do know about my own thoughts on N. Korea and Iran.

I know that N. Korea has probably had a couple nukes for quite a while. I'm pretty sure they might have been enriching on the sly...but I don't think they were going at it full-bore and they hadn't done any missile tests since 1998. I think that was pretty good considering the alternatives and I also think that the Clinton Administration's diplomacy had a good deal to do with that rather acceptable situation.

I also know that since the Bush Administration has come in, the international nuclear monitors have been kicked out of the country and the N. Koreans have made no secret of pulling their nuclear fuel rods out of reactors and building as many nukes as they possibly could, which may now give them anywhere from 6-10 nukes. I also know that they've done more missile tests in the last 2 days as they did in the last 10? years or maybe 20? years?

I can't speak for the "lunatic left"...but I think I can speak for logical people everywhere in wondering WHAT kinda LUNATIC Administration have we GOT?????

Peter, as far as Iran, they had a reformist President when Bush came into office and a pretty substantial reformist movement.

Just before or after the Iraq war started the Iranians asked for talks with the Bush administration. Bush BLEW THEM OFF.

Iran no longer has a reformist president or any viable reformist movement. They do have a President that thinks that Israel should be wiped out and doing so would help to bring back the "12th IMAM" which would lead to heaven and the 70 virgins that all those guys dream of.

This is NOT because of any "lunatic left".....THIS is ALL because of the DA mn LUNATIC RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
