Again you are attempting to deflect this issue to something that is more suitable to the Administration. What moral authority does Bush have to reprimand the news media for such actions when he himself is in violation of the law by refusing to take the FISA courts into confidence.

You are deflecting the issue, since we weren't discussing the FISA courts at all. That is at least a contested issue, with arguments both pro and con (I think the administration has solid arguments that they need to do data mining and the FISA system can't support it). But the story we were discussing has nothing to do with FISA. It was about the monitoring the SWIFT progam, and was uncontravertably legal, possessed auditing safeguards, and had proven effective.
