WE were talking about the press going public with Bush's secret program and Bush reprimanding them for doing so. Your point is that they let secrets out to the enemy when the press discloses these programs.

I maintain that Bush has not authority to condem the press for their actions since his actions in itself are illegal. There is no debate about the legality. There is a law in force and he has violated that. He can attempt to change the law. BUt he knows that his own Republican Congress will not side with him to change the FISA law.

What do the Bushies k now about high tech to claim that current laws cannot address the issues raised by high tech such as data mining.

The issue is OVERSIGHT. Simple, very simple. All Americans want is OVERSIGHT. Why is it so hard for you and others to grasp a simple fact such as OVERSIGHT. CHECKS and BALANCES is te cornerstone of our system. And the Bushies want to do away with that. So if you want to respond on this issue, talk about OVERSIGHT. Don't jump around and try to deflect it.
