1) Your POV that atrocities occur in all wars and are an inevitable occurence in wars;

2) Another POV that Americans rarely commit atrocities and the ones that do are aberrant;

3) Another POV that atrocities happen all the time everywhere, so why make a big deal out of ones that occur on the battlefield.

I don't have any way of resolving these different points of view.


There is nothing to resolve.

1)Suma is right, if we eliminated war, atrocities that occur during war would be eliminated.

2)If we can not eliminate war, how about training our soldiers and putting procedures in place that will reduce the number of atrocities.

3)Don't do anything about it and ignore the problem. That should be a litmus test. Stay away from anyone that believes or advocate that position.
