This grand diversion of military, intelligence and diplomatic resources not only jeopardized success in Afghanistan but also initiated the collapse of international support and respect for the United States. Whether its a war that can be won or not [see the USSR in the 1980s], they need to get more soldiers into the Afghanistan. It seems the Taliban has regrouped.
