I suppose if you find you must see the left as some teeth gnashing monolithic socialist juggernaut, and can't help saying so, you might not belong here, but it's too bad - in many ways. If you do not mind some brutal (yet polite) honesty, I think such extreme generalizations are a bit like blinkers on a horse, they prevent you from seeing the full view of the world.

The other reason is that I would be violating rules in your moderator's header. See what you did. You made me go back and read the darned thing. The only problem in that snippet that I can see is the "but." Other than the implication from the "but" that "progressives" in this country are "socialists," which is either hype or error, I don't see anything wrong with posting that. Neither statement on its own is unreasonable, IMO. Others may view it differently. Of course, the only one whose view counts is Dale's.
