I think such extreme generalizations are a bit like blinkers on a horse, they prevent you from seeing the full view of the world. That's why you fit in here. You prefer a nuanced POV, where raw truth is covered up with polite conversation. It's possible to live a great life in this country without ever having to face up to the reality that lots of people around the world would like to see you and yours dead, and are working every day to accompish that goal. You are able to live with your "blinkers" on because, as George Orwell said, "Rough men guard you while you sleep."
