So we end up with smart people all living together.

One thing that mitigates that is that smart people sometimes have dumb kids and dumb people, smart kids. So families will always be a mixture.

I personally believe that a college education is over rated. My son does not have a degree and makes more than all three of the college-educated rest of my family put together.

Same with my brother.

One thing about a blue collar job: when the clock says 5 pm, you go home and leave your job at the plant.

Teachers? High demands on education and donation of free time, low pay.

Foresters like me get compensated by being able to walk in the green woods all day, not by the green in our paycheck. At least in the good old days we did.
