Mindmeld, The only person that has made this his priority is Al Gore.

Give me a break, Al Gore has about as much of a spine as John Kerry, especially when Gore released part of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve because oil was going to be "expensive" in 2000.

We've all seen how much 'spine' bring-it-on bush has and the mess that it got us into. What you call a lack of spine is what the rest of call diplomacy.

So let me get this straight. You think the Reserve is just a nice thing to have, but never to be used? The Reserve was created specifically to relieve supply issues, yet Bush sits on his thumb and his mound of oil. Bush is doing everything wrong when it comes to energy independence.
