"You think the Reserve is just a nice thing to have, but never to be used?"

It is just another stick to beat Gore with.

Mindmeld, So let me get this straight. You think the Reserve is just a nice thing to have, but never to be used? The Reserve was created specifically to relieve supply issues, yet Bush sits on his thumb and his mound of oil.

a) I never said that. You are putting words into my mouth.

b) Bush did use the Stratetic Petroleum Reserve after Katrina caused gas prices to spike.

c) Looking back at 2000, don't you think Clinton/Gore jumped a little too quickly at what turned out to be a mundane fluctuation in gas prices?

Bush is doing everything wrong when it comes to energy independence.

Do you think that we should drill in ANWR?
