And if these soldiers are found guilty of the crime they are accused of, I hope they get the chair (or the firing squad). The crime is just that pre-meditated (according to current allegations) and brutal.. I don't want them in the army, nor walking the face of these planet. Then you should work on fixing the system, not just the broken cog. I don't understand people who advocate recruiting 18 year olds, training them to kill, giving them weapons, then saying, gee, that was a naughty boy, we should give him the chair. I know a number of said problem teenagers who joined the army, and I would sure as hell would not want them living next to me with a gun, let alone if I were considered the "enemy", and they had the backing of Uncle Sam behind them. Yet the recruiters happily sign them up. There needs to be much better screening IMO. But then we would need a draft, so not likely to happen. I still think video documentation on all helmets should be mandatory. Any soldier returning from patrol who's video looks wacky for some reason gets removed.
