Darling that is too much pressure for me.
I've loved movies for many decades, and have forgotten so many I believe that would make me normal.
"Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" was classic to me, and I think you'd agree.
You and I have so many in our brains don't we?
Maybe ask me my favorite top 10 women I've dated.
Could come closer on that one.

Tough choosing, but no matter how many times I've seen these, if I come across them on cable, I will watch them again to the end:

Searching for Bobby Fischer
Amadeus
The Road Warrior
The Shawshank Redemption
Field of Dreams
Lost in Translation
O Brother Where Art Thou
Glory
Manon of the Spring
Bull Durham

Oh, you are so good at lists. I am not.

Wings of Desire and Groundhog Day are some of my favorites of all time. Last of the Mohicans. Blue. Tossup between Blue and Seven Samurai for the top, slight edge to Seven Samurai on video, heavy edge to Seven Samurai in the theater. AFN recently screened a very nicely remastered version with zero crud on it.

Right now, I am very fond of Constantine, not sure it will last forever, though.

I've seen pretty much everything on the various AFN lists and the other lists you can see on Netflix.

I used to like Morgan, haven't seen it in forever. Just put it to the top of my queue.

I put in DISH so we could get Turner Classics and have very much enjoyed it, no commercials, they seem to be showing a few newer movies now though, I prefer the older ones. I'll watch anything with Doris Day, Katharine Hepburn, Myrna Loy, Carole Lombard, Cary Grant, Robert Montgomery, Edward G. Robinson, Joseph Cotton, and all Hitchcock .... the usuals I guess.

Movies I can watch over and over -

Mr. and Mrs. Smith ( Lombard and Montgomery )
The Philadelphia Story
Desk Set
The Lion In Winter
State of the Union
Adam's Rib ( 1949 )
The World of Suzie Wong
Rear Window
Vertigo
The Thin Man Movies

eleutheria, I suggested to our library that they ask people their 3 favorite books - naming 3 is harder than naming 10 <G>,
and they were not allowed to name the Bible, since every politician in town would say the Bible ! Everyone found it an interesting survey and it was a big hit.

Some of my favorites. No way could I rank them, but broke them out between top ten newer and older:

Dances with Wolves
The English Patient
Gladiator
Rain Man
Girl on the Bridge
Until the End of the World
Wings of Desire
Ride with the Devil
Usual Suspects
Awakenings

Little Big Man
2001 A Space Odyssey
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Chariots of Fire
Rear Window
Vertigo
Jean de Florette
Gandhi
The Godfather
Casablanca

And a few I just had to list, even though they didn’t make the top ten in either group:
Men with Guns
Matewan
Manion of the Spring
Body Heat
The Hustler
Blowup
It’s a Wonderful Life
A Bridge Too Far
The Birds
The Green Mile
Forrest Gump
Dead Man
The Commitments
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Shawshank Redemption
Eight Men Out
Quest for Fire
Rashomon

Whew.. that was hard and I didn’t even restrict the list to just ten.. sorry.
This was a good idea, though. I picked up several from others that I hadn't seen, so they go on the "to watch" list.

The Visitors is hilarious.

Have you seen Krzysztof's 'Three Colors Trilogy'? Each film has a color title, 'Blue', 'White', 'Red'.
