I believe that all striving democratic systems should be defended from external threats to their existence. Come on. No you don't. South Africa under apartheid was democratic. Black people just didn't get to vote. Even China elects the leader of the Communist party every 10 years or so, and any Chinese can join the party. Do you want to defend the Communist Chinese party because they elect their top officials? Just because there is an election among the elite few doesn't make the government your ally. Israel is also a small ethnic state created in a multi-ethnic region where the vast majority of the surrounding population doesn't want an ethnic state. And how is that any different from any of the OTHER states in the Mid-East?? That's an easy question. It is the ONLY country in the Middle East that the populations of every other country in the Middle East want removed from the Middle East. Next question?
