Thanks for the detailed reply... I wasn't sure if you had meant that "Intel Inside," in and of itself, was a selling point apart from BootCamp/Parallels. I do agree that the ability to run Windows natively helps build the Mac case across all the Intel-based product lines, although it benefits the MacBook more than the others simply because there doesn't appear to be any premium pricing on that product.

I think I'd fall under your Type 2 ("The not-terribly-price-sensitive-PC-buyer who thinks Mac hardware is cool"), although price/performance was a major selling point for me, personally. I convinced myself that I was getting to try OSX/iLife apps for free.
