That's the great thing about history...one can always play the "what if" game! From what I know, by the time of the German disaster at Stalingrad the Soviet Union was already flexing its superpower muscles across the Eastern front and would not be denied. If not Stalingrad, then somewhere else. Germany was already finished. My wife is Russian and I have spent many years in Russia; it is a great frustration to the Russians that Americans in general know so little about what really happened on the Eastern Front in WW2.
