OT: Fair enough, Aladdin, you just touched on one of my pet peeves.

I've seen a few "Brown is Beautiful" campaigns start to spring up around this issue.

Now, since I'm already up on my soapbox pontificating, I hope you have a push mower. Since I got one I actually enjoy mowing the lawn, though I am still glad when it stops raining so the grass stops growing, as I'd rather spend my time puttering in the garden (most of the water for which is captured from downspouts from our gutters).

Push mowers are no more work than any other kind of mower, and are much better for your lawn. Plus you avoid contributing to the usual Saturday morning Attack of the Fumes and Noise that infests so many neighborhoods.
