Absolutely agree. Which is why I've always asserted that the path to reining in Kim Jong Il goes through Bejing.

Only when the Chinese are "forced" to take this matter seriously as directly, and negatively, affecting their regional interests, will the necessary "courage" be instilled into the N. Korea military and intelligence leadership to preserve their status.
