Good article, lots to think about, but I suspect that the premise that this is controlled by iran and Syria and the crap won't stop while they have any say in the matter. Let's cut out the middle man, and nuke iran.

Thanks for that article, Emile. There seems to be lots of intelligent commentary on the question of Israel and the Palestinians coming from Europe, but sadly in Canada and the US there is far too much misdirection from the press, and gullibility and ignorance on the part of the public, which is why Bush and now Harper get away with their simplistic, wrong-headed positions.

BTW, I complained to my local Conservative MP about Harper's position. I think that the reason Jewish people seem to get favourable treatment, outside of things like the Asper family owning the National Post, is that they are highly organized in voicing their opinions politically. In a free democracy that is their right, but other Canadians have to counterbalance what might be selfish special interests with a more logical position if we can.
