My MacBook Pro battery suddenly went bad -- would not hold a charge for more than 15 minutes, no matter what. Thanks for the report (sorry to hear about the hassle but at least it was replaced no questions asked.) Apple seems to have it's share of battery problems (my PB was one of many to have a battery recall) and while I'm not aware of such recalls hitting earnings in a significant way (likely a cost to battery mfrs rather than Apple), it is a negative customer experience. It would be nice to not be hearing that Apple product X is the latest to have a battery problem. I've had a couple of other devices over the years where the mfr sent me a new battery out of the blue with a cryptic note saying to dispose of the old one. Anyone know if this is a more widespread issue in the industry or just isolated cases of bad batches of batteries?
