Why would people want to wipe out people who are Jewish whether in the past or the present century? I don't know. If you will recall, somebody gave it a good try in the last century. You may have forgotten the effort. We haven't, particularly not with the rhetorich of Hizbullah and Ahmedinijad to remind us. Your post tells me that the Jewish are paranoid. Even paranoids have enemies.

I had friends growing up who thought they were Jewish first and hence citizens of Israel first and then as citizens of the country they were born in and the culture in which they were raised."..... Seems to me that the holocaust occurred before the new state of Israel even existed...old state of Israel existed exactly where it is today a couple of thousand years before the word moslem was ever used..... but in any case what country do you suppose all those Jews murdered during second world war thought they belonged too? And do muslums in the USA think they are Americans first and then moslums...and what about all the other countries of the world where the islamic radicals are trying to take over. What about hezbola islamic nut jobs who have taken over what used to be a strong Christian nation...Lebanon... are they Lebanese first or moslums first? Are any of them even from Lebanon? So do you have some proof as to what Ed Sharansky thinks or may have thought? I would be interested in seeing that. Get use to it chinu...the musloms and islam are wrong and the other side are correct.
