White men are a minority and yet still retain almost all of the power. Caucasians will be a minority in this country in about 40-50 years and are already a minority in Texas, NM and California. Yes, competence and honesty would be very good qualities in any human being in any position but rightwingers seek out incompetence and lying instead. It's your side of the spectrum why don't you fix it? White people (frankly, I think all people should simply be numbered in shades of beige) have most of the colleges already so to say that white people should have their own college is a bit silly. Are white people trying to get into black colleges? If so, I think they should be admitted. I don't respect Condie because, using the same yardstick for all people regardless of beigeness or gender, I think she's grossly incompetent and suffers from an inability to get off her rear and do anything. I think Powell should have stayed out of this administration or resigned before peddling lies in front of the UN. He put party before country which is not the honorable thing to do. The odd thing is that, because they're dark beige, too many people think that all dark beige people should automatically support them and that all light beige people should avoid criticizing them. We haven't come that far as a country when that attitude is still prevalent. I suspect that there are darker beige strawberry farmers with many children who have had it much harder but I'm just guessing. If you're mad about welfare (and the fictious welfare queen driving a cadillac), then why aren't you mad at the huge corporate welfare payments doled out to cronies by this rightwing administration? Why aren't you furious at KBR charging $40 for a case of cola or $15 for monogramed gym towels? Why aren't you furious at $8 billion in welfare to oil companies making record profits? Welfare to the poor goes straight back into the economy and everyone benefits when there aren't beggars on the street or sick people wandering our neighborhoods. OTOH if Paris Hilton buys more foreign cars and clothes and takes trips to foreign resorts, exactly how does that help the rest of the country?
