If you love Libertatia, the nswer is yes; in fact you should have hired your own police force to protect you before the event. My nswer is no; ALL citizens are owed this servie by their gov't by virtue of being citizens. And the slippery slope argument fails here; the race has been on this slippery slope for thousands of years. As to previous incidents, I don't recall charges, but the law jas been on the books quite a while. That's worrisome to me, because it means that in a generation or so, we will become totally socialized, if not communized, and everyone will think "they are owed everything..." No, you make it clear to them that THEY are responsible for there place in life. The gov't is responsible only for maintaining an orderly society and a few other duties; other than that, God helps those who help themselves. Our birthrate is down by quite a bit, and those young folks there are, are not being taught that it is better to give than to receive. Low birthrate seems to be a consequence of prosperity. Prosperityy is the strongest contraceptive on the planet, :-) The Europeans have also had a drop in birthrate as they have become more prosperous. We have always been a Nation of volunteers, Exactly where WERE the volunteers wiling to go to Lebanon to get US citizens out?Katrina was a total disaster. The States were to have taken care of what they could, and called on the Feds for help. In most states, except LA, I think that it was done the way it was supposed to be done. After all this time, I DON'T understand why NO is such a disaster in one or two of the Parishes.....Are there no people left there who care to clean it up? Do they want it bulldozed? We don't hear of the other states who were hit even worse than LA (like Alabama) having the same type of mess still on the streets.... Is it there, or not? What's the difference? Were those areas as badly hit? I had the impression that the breaking of the dikes in NO and consequent flooding were much more damaging than occurred elsewhere. Having little knowledge in this area, I WILL have to bow to superior authority. However, documentation certainly should be provided. On airlifting people out of a war zone....Have we EVER done it before for no charge? Did we do it in Hawaii? Or in Europe? When? Hawaii we took and declared ours. (HEY, LIBERAL SMART***es, SOMEBODY was going to steal it!)
