Perhaps a better question would be, what percentage of worldwide Muslims will concede that Israel is there, has nukes and a powerful army, and isn't going away?

Nope, that's not the key question, other than the "going away" bit at the end. The US knew the communist Soviet Union was there, had nukes and a powerful army, and still tried for years to change them into a non-communist, capitalist open society. As long as the Muslims of the world don't think their should be a declared non-Muslim nation surrounded by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, you're going to have turmoil in the region, and it's totally understandable.

The sad thing is the Lebanon represents an American ideals of the way a country should be - multi-ethnic and trying to integrate everyone into an open society regardless ofan individual's ethnicity or religion, and Lebanon is getting blown to kingdom come.....
