>I think your opinions are extremely biased in favour of the Muslims

Can you find any links that I have provided that come from Muslim or even Arab websites? The only ones I have provided have come from Jewish or American websites. Almost everything I have ever read on the issue comes from American or English news sources. If my sources are not Jewish extremists maybe you are saying that I am pro-Muslim or something?

It seems like you are now saying the might makes right. All that matters is that Israel has the power to do what it wants. Or maybe the Arabs started it if we dig long enough in the past and are sufficiently vague in how we characterize things. How this translates into the issue of whether it is wise or just for us to be condoning Israel's attack on Lebanon I am not sure.

Ichy,

Israel has the right to exist because It can defend itself against any and all attackers
Yes a pragmatic view...

1) Yes Israel has a right to defend itself...
2) ss makes good points though on overkill.
3) part of my original point was that Israel's supremacy is not guaranteed forever and it would behoove them to work for other resolutions a little harder... Maybe too much attention on the Palestinians and not enough on nurturing Lebanon with a large westernized population...
4) Part deux of my original point was to agree with SS that Mr. Harper was a little quick to jump on the 'Right to defend itself' bandwagon... in that in the world of realpolitik that is a pretty vague mandate... which in Israel's view includes flying over neighbouring airspace to a invade a nations's sovereign airspace and bomb what they perceive just might possibly be a threat... perhaps.. The WMD syndrome... far more dangerous so far than avian flu...

Now we have some folks starting to sound like Arlo Guthrie in Alice's Restaurant...
arlo.net

And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I
wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down
yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sargent came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."
