I thought he was heading to Burgundy? Montargis and Nemours are direct south of Paris. Google has Rogny to the NE but there is another one south of Montargis called Rogny les Sept Ecluses. It is just before the main Loire River is reached. It's on Google's map if you zoom in a lot - small village.
