Very good advice Peter....Will keep you in mind when I need some outside opinion.... Hopefully, what you said here ... Good accountants are also inquisitive and have a memory for detail. .... is really the problem, and that email doesn't carry the inflections well. I've thought of why I'm bothered by it, and have finally come to realize that it "feels" as if she is questioning my judgement, without knowing the history of the "why's of the group".....That, plus I've been head of the group 12 years ago, AND have been Treasurer before too.... I'm always ready to see a new way of doing things....but still not loosing sight of the reason a thing has been done the way it has been done....Usually there is a good reason....sometimes not. I sent the immediate past head of the group a sample of why I'm concerned....Usually past Presidents of our group don't have to do any job for a couple of years, so they can recup for their years in office <gggg>..... I asked her to share her opinion with me confidentially, and also asked her to be my Parliamentarian. She has said yes to Parliamentarian (if it's OK that she will be gone sometimes....Yes, I will say today) and she also said she could see my reason for concern...she felt the same thing from the Treasurer's message...so at least I am reassured I'm not being reactionary...
