You are aware that Parallels Workstation is available for Windows. You get the same benefits there. VMWare provides the same capabilities for Windows. This is not a benefit of OS X.

Depends on how one sets up shared folders. It's certainly possible to expose the entire OSX volume to Windows.

Actually, under Parallels, Windows can access any part of the Mac disk that you set up. The Mac disk is accessed as an external server.
