I know from bitter experience that many people cannot discuss ME issues without going ballistic. Hopefully they will know who they are and save the boxing matches for the threads where that is considered great entertainment. I was pondering again today how little most Americans know about the Middle East and its various cultures, myself included. Yet there are instant experts everywhere whenever the fur flies over there. If the best Middle East experts the last 60 years couldn't achieve anything, it is very doubtful that the rank amateurs on SI will accomplish anything other than venting their bile and other bodily fluids on fellow members. Not our style.
